A native plant is one which lived
within the state prior to the settlement by Europeans.
Our native plants are grown from our local nursery.
Why native plant?
Top 5 reasons!
1. Native plants tend to be hardier than there introduced
counterparts and generally are more pest resistant too.
2. Native plants tend to require less water once established.
3. Native plants attract and feed native birds and butterflies,
as well as other beneficial insects.
4. Using native plants in your landscape helps to mitigate
the loss these species suffer as woods and meadows are
transformed into housing developments and malls.

identity, separating us from other regions around the
