Here are a few tips to help your
fresh cut tree remain fresh and fragrant throughout
the holiday season.
• Make a fresh cut across the base of the trunk
(we will do this for you if you like when you purchase
a Christmas tree from us). Place the tree in a bucket
of water as soon as possible. If the base dries out,
a seal will form over the cut in 4-6 hours preventing
the tree from absorbing water. If a seal does form a
new cut will be needed.
• If you don’t plan on decorating the tree
right keep the tree in a shaded, protect area outdoors
in a bucket of water.
• Bring the tree in 24 hours prior to decorating
to let the tree get used to the warmer climate.
• Use Prolong Tree Preservative in the water to
keep your tree fresh longer.
• Place a tree removal bag around the tree base
during set-up. When the time come to take down the tree,
removal is quick, easy and mess-free.
• Water is important to the tree because it prevents
the needles from drying and dropping off. Check the
stand daily and refill as needed.
• Position the tree away from heat sources and
sunny windows.
Shop early to take advantage of the
best selection and freshness.
