Placement and
Selection
• Choose a location that gives the most visual
impact and enjoyment without interfering with normal
traffic flow.
• Measure your floor space and ceiling height
to determine the height and width of your tree.
• Choose the size and type of tree that will show
off your decorations.
Hinges and Branches
• Hinged construction is the biggest advantage
for easy assembly in a matter of minutes and makes storage
easier than ever.
• Sturdy hinges and branches are very important
for decorating and longevity.
Pre-Lit
• The price of pre-lit trees has drastically been
reduced in the last three years.
• Technology has improved considerably. Locking
devices will not allow the bulb to come out except when
you need to replace it.
• If one bulb burns out the rest of the lights
stay lit.
• The numbers of lights vary on any given tree.
The general rule is about 75 to 100 per foot.
Tip Count
• The tip count refers to how full or dense a
tree may be. The more branch tips, the more ornaments
you can hang.
Tree Stands
• Be fussy about the stand. Some manufacturers
supply light, wiggly stands that can bend easily.
• Pre-lit trees are heavier and need a substantial
stand.
• All trees at Feeney’s come with a sturdy
stand designed especially for that tree.
Whether it’s two feet
or twenty feet tall, our design consultants can help
you choose the perfect tree that will give you many
years of holiday enjoyment.
